Novus provides engineering and management consulting services, leveraging over thirty years of experience designing products, directing product development teams, and interfacing with customers in the industrial, aerospace, telecommunications, and power industries.
Novus Engineering & Applied Research was founded in 2003 to develop and market battery management technology and products. Novus' Extender product line increased battery life and reduced maintenance costs by managing charge distribution in battery strings. The Extender product was incorporated in the design of a FMC prototype electric aircraft tow vehicle developed for United Airlines. This project was partially funded by the California Air Resources Board (CARB).
Today, Novus is primarily an engineering consulting firm with well known clients, such as GE Aviation, Curtis-Wright Controls, Breeze-Eastern, AAR Corporation, and GE Global Research Center. While working on programs for direct clients, Novus has also worked with other companies such as Boeing, Airbus (EADS), Gulfstream, Lockheed Martin, AgustaWestland, General Dynamics, Moog, Fairchild Controls, and Kinetics/Real-Time Laboratories.
